Asking price vs sold signals on Prevost List

How listed asks, contact-for-pricing blanks, and sold/delisted signals differ — and how confidence labels protect you from false precision.

Short answer: An asking price is what a listing published. A sold/delisted signal is evidence the listing left active inventory. Neither is automatically a verified closed sale price.

Asking prices

When a dealer or FSBO listing publishes a number, Prevost List shows it with source context on the coach page. It is a snapshot of that listing at parse time — not a promise the seller will still take that number tomorrow.

Many dealers use contact-for-pricing instead. Blank price fields are intentional seller behavior; we do not invent a fill-in. See Contact for pricing explained.

Sold and delisted signals

Inventory disappearing, sold badges, or heuristic delists can appear in market history and on Market pulse. Read them as activity signals:

  • The coach may have sold
  • It may have moved dealers
  • It may have been pulled offline temporarily

Community / reported sold prices

When a sold figure is community-reported, Prevost List labels confidence on purpose. Those numbers are never quietly blended into a sitewide “market average.”
